NIX Solutions: iPhone AI Features Are Not Interesting to Users

Today, most smartphone manufacturers focus on the AI capabilities of their products. The analytical company SellCell decided to examine how interested users are in such functions. Judging by the results of a recent public survey, the expectations of major brands in this regard may be exaggerated.

AI Features: Limited Appeal for Users

According to the report, only 47.6% of iPhone users consider AI an important factor when purchasing a smartphone. Additionally, 73% of users who have already tried neural network features found them not particularly useful compared to other smartphone capabilities.

The most popular AI tools are relatively basic. Leading the list are text processing functions, used by 72% of respondents. In second place is the note-taking feature for notifications, favored by 54%. Automatic sorting of important emails ranks third.

Samsung users share similar sentiments. An overwhelming 87% of Samsung owners feel that AI functions do not significantly enhance their smartphone experience.

Switching Brands for AI? Not Likely

The survey also explored whether improved AI features would entice users to switch brands. Only 16.8% of iPhone users would consider switching to a Samsung device for better AI functions. Meanwhile, Samsung users show even less interest in switching—just 9.7% would move to Apple for superior AI.

Interestingly, willingness to pay for AI functions is extremely low, adds NIX Solutions. Among iPhone users, only 11.6% would pay for AI features. Samsung users are even less inclined, with just 4% open to paying.

Conclusion: AI Still Has a Long Way to Go

While AI continues to be a selling point for smartphones, its actual value to users appears limited. We’ll keep you updated as brands refine their strategies and introduce more practical AI tools.
