NIXsolutions: Apple Prepares AI Health Assistant

Apple is working on a major update to its Health app, set to launch with iOS 19.4. Codenamed Mulberry, this project introduces a digital health consultant powered by AI. The tool will use data from Apple devices, primarily the Apple Watch, to provide users with personalized health recommendations. This aligns with Tim Cook’s vision of making healthcare a key part of Apple’s impact on society.

AI-Powered Personalized Health Guidance

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple’s AI health assistant is expected to launch in spring or summer 2026. The development involves Apple’s AI division and medical professionals hired by the company. The AI agent will function similarly to a real doctor, analyzing physiological data to offer tailored advice. To enhance the app, Apple is also working with third-party experts—including cardiologists, nutritionists, sleep specialists, physical therapists, and mental health professionals—who will record educational videos explaining potential health risks. These materials will be produced in a new Apple studio in Oakland, California.

Additionally, Apple plans to feature a well-known doctor as the host of the service, providing expert guidance in Health+ videos, notes NIXsolutions. A key focus of the revamped app will be nutrition tracking, allowing users to log their meals while AI suggests dietary improvements based on individual health indicators.

Workout Analysis and Future Plans

Apple is also developing a feature that uses the iPhone’s rear camera to analyze workouts. The AI will track movements and offer exercise technique recommendations. Over time, this capability is expected to be integrated into Apple Fitness+.

As Apple continues refining these innovations, we’ll keep you updated on their progress and upcoming features.
