NIX Solutions: What’s New in iOS 17.1 Beta 2

Apple has introduced a new Display section in Standby settings, offering various customization options, including an auto-screen fade-out option after 20 seconds or no fade-out at all. Additionally, the night mode feature, which adds a red tint and darkens the screen, has been relocated to a new section, along with the wake-up settings.

Ringtones and Notification Sounds

Over 20 ringtones and notification sounds that were initially removed in the first beta of iOS 17.1 have now been reinstated. The list includes new additions such as Arpeggio, Breaking, Canopy, and more, with a modern and longer sound profile. Older ringtones have been moved to a classic section for those who prefer Illuminate, Night Owl, Constellation, and others. Additionally, there are over 10 new notification sounds available for messages, mail, reminders, and more.

Fixed 80% Charge Limit

For iPhone 15 models, a new option prevents charging beyond 80% to preserve battery health. In the previous beta version, this feature didn’t function correctly, allowing charging beyond the limit, reminds NIX Solutions. However, the second beta version has addressed this issue.

Double Tap

The latest double-tap gesture is now functional in watchOS 10.1’s second beta version, which was also released alongside iOS 17.1. Users can control this feature through the Apple Watch app on their iPhone.
